Illustrator Tutorial: Radial Repeat
This is a simple yet effective Illustrator tutorial on radial repeats.
The radial repeat action is a great trick for creating interesting shapes.
1) Draw or select the object for repeat; hit “R” to rotate.
2) Now, while pressing Alt/Opt, click on the proposed center point; this will bring up the rotate window.
3) Enter the fraction number of times you want the shape to repeat. For example, for a repeat of 18 times all the way around, enter 360/18.
4) Finally, hit the copy button, and then Ctrl/Cmd + D to duplicate.
